Thus With a Kiss I Die
Introduction
It began in Verona where Montagues and Capulets, two enemies full of hatred, live. Romeo, a Montague and Juliet, a Capulet had a secret life that neither the Capulets nor Montagues knew about. Romeo and Juliet marry secretly with the help of the Friar and the Nurse. Unfortunately their love story ends in the tragic with the death of Romeo and Juliet, but who is to blame the Nurse, the Friar, or the Montagues and Capulets. Many secrets lay between them and they are going to be revealed to all of you.
Romeo’s ProfileRomeo, a Montague was a 16 year old teenager. Before meeting Juliet he was with another Capulet named Rosaline. Rosaline left Romeo to become a nun. Romeo became heartbroken but soon fell in love with Juliet. Romeo planned to get married with Juliet with help of the friar and the help of the Nurse, a Capulet which eventually occurred. After getting married Romeo was in a sword fight that ended with a tragic death of his best friend Mercutio and his newly cousin Tybalt. Tybalt had killed Mercutio then to get revenge for Mercutio's death killed Tybalt. The prince of Verona quickly ordered Romeo banished from Verona or else he'd be executed. As we know now he came back when he heard of his wife's death, but when he saw Juliet “dead” to be with his wife he drank some poison. Romeo was just one of the victims of this family's long hatred.
Juliet’s ProfileJuliet, a Capulet was a 12 year old girl. Juliet was going to be married with Paris, who was the prince’s cousin. Romeo and Juliet fell in love at first sight after meeting Romeo at a Capulet party before dancing with Paris. Romeo and Juliet married but then, Romeo was banished from Verona. Her family told her she soon be wed with Paris the man she didn’t like. To avoid marrying Paris she went to seek for the Friars help. The Friar gave her a potion that made her seem dead when she was really just in a deep sleep. When she woke up she saw Romeo dead and to be with her Romeo stabbed herself in the heart to be together with him ‘till the end.
Statements from Lord Capulet
At the ceremony we interviewed Lord Capulet; he said “This feud has been going on for way to long and it is all the Montagues fault. If Juliet would have just agreed to marry Paris none of this would of happen. It is the Montagues! They should have taken more care of Romeo. They could have seen that he was sneaking into party’s he wasn’t invited to! They could have seen that he had weird friends! Why if I was Romeo’s father he would have been grounded a long time ago! I despise Montagues for there fault my Juliet is gone!”


Statements from Lord Montague
After interviewing Lord Capulet we told Lord Montague what he had said about the Montagues and asked what he thinks of the Capulets and this tragedy. I quote “This tragedy has nothing to do with the Montagues. As the police said it was suicide. If Lord Capulet would have not forced Juliet to marry Paris she would have not tried to act dead. If Juliet was still alive then Romeo would have not committed suicide. Lastly Juliet would have not killed herself! He shouldn’t try to hide his mistakes by blaming the Montagues!”


The Punishment
The prince has ordered the Montagues and Capulets to stop their feud. A trial will be held after the funeral. Lord Capulet would be put on trial for forcing her daughter to her marry a man she did not want to marry and forcing her to her only solution and act dead. The Friar is also being held on trial for helping Juliet and Romeo get married and giving Juliet the potion that made Juliet “dead”. The nurse is also being held on trial for helping the two in their marriage. Please come and join to see the outcome of this tragedy.

After reading Of Mice and Men and the two news articles, what is your stance on euthanasia? Is "mercy" killing a legitimate way to ending someones life? List any exceptions, if you have any. To implement, my stance on euthanasia is that if its that your going to die because of a disease then its o.k. Like the girl that was disconnected my cousin was also disconnected. I probably wish she was still alive but her time had come. My cousin had less than 60% of her brain functioning and died peacefully when they disconnected her. In this situation euthanasia was probably the only thing that could be done. Her mother was restless but at the end agreed with the disconnection because even if they would let her out of the hospital she would only live if she was kept alive artificially. The man that disconnected her daughter was probably thinking of how she would not be able to survive in the future. The man that killed his family I believe committed an infraction and not euthanasia because he had many other choices other than eradicating his family. Our economy is falling but that doesn't mean its the end of the road. When my parents arrived they had to start off their lives from nothing and after losing everything they have reintegrated most of what they lost in their native country, El Salvador.

For this blog, you will examine "euthanasia" - or in other words, "mercy killing". Like abortion, euthanasia is a very controversial topic. Does a person who is terminally ill, handicapped, or in a desperate situation have the right to die by euthanasia? People say that dying by euthanasia is to die with dignity, instead of living on life support machines or any other means of constant care.

Like abortion, euthanasia has multiple perspectives. You will reflect on Of Mice and Men and read two current articles, one more extreme than the other, and you will analyze the different possible points of view. Each response should be 3-5 THOUGHTFUL and academic sentences that include specific details.

As you read the articles, utilize Internet tools like dictionary.com and wikipedia to clarify concepts that you do not understand. Any plagiarism from the Internet or other blogs will result in a zero.

1. Reflecting on Of Mice and Mena.

a. Explain George's perspective for what he did to Lennie.
George probably thought that he was doing the best for Lennie. If he didn't do it then Curley would of done it. George probably did think of what was going to be best for Lennie but I would have never done it to anybody even if they'd ask me.
b. Do you think that was the best thing to do for Lennie?
It probably was the best for Lennie in George's point of view since he died at instantly. If Carlson or Curley would of found him then they would have shot him in the guts where he would of felt pain and not died at the exact moment that the bullet hit him. Lennie died in peace thinking of nice thoughts when he died but that probably wasn't the only solution for George to solve the "Lennie" problem.

"The court accepted that before the accident, his daughter had expressed a preference for dying over being kept alive artificially." I agree with what the father did because his daughter had asked for death instead of staying alive artificiality.

What the father did for his daughter wasn't murder, he was just helping her die on her own and not keep her alive artificially like her preference.
3. Man Kills Family after Losing his Job

a. Imagine and list things that might have been going through the father's mind as he contemplated his "mercy" killing. (In the article, the father's suicide note gives specific evidence of why he did what he did. Elaborate on it.) Specifically, what could he have been negative or paranoid about?

To represent Ralph in my movie I chose bugs bunny, a cartoon from the loony tunes. In my version of lord of the flies, bugs bunny makes a perfect Ralph because he is good at being a leader just like Ralph was. bugs bunny is sweet but also demanding. He is serious and can control groups really well and the reason I chose bugs bunny the most is because he's a natural leader.

For this movie I chose Daffy Duck to play the role of Jack. As Daffy Duck he is always contradicting Bugs Bunny in the loony tunes and I thought if you put him in lord of the flies it will perfectly match. The top five reasons why I chose Daffy to be Jack is because his personality is rebellious, competitive, rude, a want to be leader, and a great at contradicting.

This person is Porky Pig. He was chosen to be Piggy because he is shy but at times tries to be even stronger than people think he is. The top five reasons why I chose Porky Pig to be Piggy is because he's shy, a good friend, cheerful, chubby, and always ready for anything.

I chose Piglet to take the role of Simon. Simon has always been quiet, shy timid, nervous. and she would always be worried about everything she thinks.

The cartoon at the right is Scar from the Lion King. The five reasons why I chose Scar to be Roger is because he is slick, a fake, he wants to be someone he doesn't wants to be, a phony and he turns his character around in a blink of an eye.

In this movie I would mot make Simon and Piggy die so that there would be less violence, to make there life a little harder I would make thirsty Simon drink contaminated water and from there thats her they would all help j=him and Jack will return the group because he would feel lonely in his tribe.

8. TITLE: Would you keep the title Lord of the Flies the same? If not what would you change it to?
I would change the title to The Tornado Lord because Taz is the beastie of this island.

Hiroshima looks really peaceful in this picture. It seems as a bomb would never hit them. It almost looks like home. I can’t believe that there is a possibility that Van Nuys could be bombed in the future or any near by city. With the massive power of this bomb it is surprising to me that your home may look like this and possibly be destroyed in a single instance.

This picture makes me feel a whole mess of emotions. It makes me think was this really necessary? Was there any other solution? I think it wasn't necessary to destroy many of these people lives. I think that the war should of just stayed between the soldiers of each country and not drag all of these innocent people into the war.

This picture makes me think a whole mess of stuff. I am so glad that I wasn't in this persons situation. I can feel the pain of being burn this badly. It surprises me that people suffer at the moment but as well after. Being burn this badly must feel really painful. This picture is also shocking to me because it the pain of this person reaches my heart. If I could of done something to help these people I would of gladly done it.

This picture was drawn by one of the survivors of the atomic bombing. This was probably the mushroom cloud that you could see at the moment of the explosion. This artist must have been surprised about the bombing. This painting makes me feel that it must have been an unalertable bombing that surprised a lot of people.

I am pro-life. There is no point in killing a fetus for no big reason. A couple should respond for there actions. A baby should at least have the opportunity to breathe and watch the sun at least once.

I choose this quote because it true. Aborting a child doesn't make you free. My mom had the chance of aborting my brother because according to the doctors my brother was going to be handicapped and would take a lot responsibility since he was going to be handicapped. My mom said handicapped or not we still would have the responsibility of looking after him. Now it has been over three years since he was born and my brother has been capable of doing much more than others. My little brother can write part of his name and read labels on tv i don't know if that's what doctors call being handicapped but I call it being smart. I'm glad my mom didn't abort or else I would be missing all of this.

A couple knows if they want to have a baby. They both know that there are ways to protect yourself so that you don't get pregnant. Even you can use birth control. There are many ways to avoid a pregnancy so then why don't people have a heart and use protection.

The message this picture shows me is that everyone hes a chance to try there best and be able to accomplish their goals. These people must have spent hours to get themselves as far as they are now.

I can relate to this picture because everyone has a struggle. I have had some struggles of my ow but I have learn to deal with them. Even though I sometimes fail I find a Way to secede at the end. At occasions it would seem to me I can't do this and I can't do that but as the saying go "Where there is a will there is a way"
